About

Hola! I'm Daniela. My first attempt at combining technology and design was fashion. Then came software — and with it, the ability to reach millions of people instead of dozens. The instinct has always been the same.

My grandmother, an early tech founder in the hardware space, bought me my first computer when I was 5. As a kid growing up in Mexico, I quickly became enthralled by the internet and the immediate expansion it granted me. I learned to love the process of deep diving into subjects that resonated with me.

Another source of inspiration came from taking SNES and NES cartridges apart and peeking at the inside. I was magnetically drawn to one game in particular: Earthbound. What I felt was actually a recognition of outstanding, soulful design.

As I grew older and began using products for all sorts of purposes, I discovered my true goal is to create software millions of people love.

Design has been at the forefront of how I think about solving problems and creating from scratch. Not just a concern with user flows or user interface design, but how the larger product system pieces together, and how they make people feel.

I've lived in Mexico City, Paris, Montreal, Vancouver and New York City. With my partner Tim, we're now crafting the ultimate maker's home — with a full workshop, music studio, and our own GPU cluster to run experiments. My thirst for learning continues to this day, and I'm coding my own products: everything from RAG pipelines to audio visualization tooling.
